You’ve heard the expression “Oh, that’s to die for!” when it comes to a delicious food or a yummy drink…now there’s an event to “DIE FOR”…the 2015 FT. WAYNE DANCE FOR ALL.
Before your time runs out, we hope you travel to the beautiful Grand Wayne Center, in historic downtown Fort Wayne, IN, for another great dance weekend. Arrive early for the Welcoming Party on Thursday, February 26th with Friday’s demos starting at 7:00 pm. The FT. WAYNE DANCE FOR ALL offers over 110 workshops including line dance, swing, cha cha, waltz, NC2, 2-Step, ballroom, clogging, pattern partner and specialty workshops. The FT. WAYNE DANCE FOR ALL is described as the “friendliest event out there.” Regardless of your dance experience, you feel welcomed!
NEW for 2015: Demos are no longer scheduled during the evening dance parties! Friday’s workshop demos are Thursday at 7:00. Saturday’s demos are Friday at 4:00. Sunday’s demos are Saturday at 4:00. Demos are 2 walls of 1 dance per workshop. Not interested in demos, no problem. Workshops are scheduled in other ballrooms on Friday and Saturday with open dancing in the couples’ ballroom for Thursday’s party.
We are excited to be introducing eventMINDER at our 2015 weekend. This is a “BRAND NEW” program that allows you to schedule your weekend and access on your smart phone. You can filter by line, couples, pattern partner or specialty workshops. You can select your favorite instructor and add all their workshops to your schedule. The weekend is at your fingertips! Eagle Lindsey is hosting is a brief, introduction seminar on Thursday at 6:15 in the Lobby!
On Friday, LineLessons.com offers the “no intermediate” zone for the less experienced dancer to improve and build dance skills. ZUMBA gets your heart pumping and ready to dance the day away when you attend the morning “party” at 8:00 on Friday and Saturday. Don’t forget about the High-Tech DJ and NTA workshops! “How To Choreograph a Line Dance” and the “T-Shirt Cutting & Design” workshops are returning in 2015 too!
To get started with this new tool, scan the bottom right QR code on this page with your smart phone!
Saturday night’s show, “Zombies Just Wanna Dance,” presents a challenge for the “Mad Scientist” (John Robinson) to create the perfect dance partner for his beautiful bride (Jo Thompson-Szymanski). You might “die laughing” as you watch the madness when he tries different combinations to find the perfect formula of fabulous dance skills and that fun, loving personality…what we all wish for in a partner. Of course, there are always a few mishaps in the lab. You just never know what you end up with when you mix dance and DNA!
Marco Club Connection is the official sponsor of the 2015 Ft. Wayne Dance for All Choreography Exhibition. A cash prize of $250 is awarded to the “overall” winner. An additional bonus of $250 is awarded if one of dances winning first place, in any of the three divisions, is choreographed to a current promotional artist(s), selected by Marco Club Connection. Qualifying artists will be released by January 1, 2015. See the complete rules.
